You can delete your Laplog account (publisher: LAPLOG PROSTA SPÓŁKA AKCYJNA) at any time. Deletion is free and does not require contacting us — the app is enough. If you no longer have access to the app, email us.
1. Deleting your account in the app
- Open the Laplog app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately and signed out on all devices. Your data stops being visible to other users.
2. Requesting deletion without the app
Send an email to hello@laplog.com with the subject "Delete Laplog account". Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Laplog and include:
- the email address linked to the account,
- your username (if you remember it),
- whether you want the whole account deleted or only selected data (e.g. specific sessions or photos).
If the message comes from an address other than the one on the account, we may ask for additional identity confirmation so that nobody can delete your account without your knowledge. We fulfil requests within 30 days of receipt at the latest, in line with the GDPR.
3. Grace period (30 days)
After you delete your account, a 30-day grace period applies. During this time the account is deactivated, but you can restore it by signing in to the app again and confirming that you want to cancel the deletion. After 30 days the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
4. What we delete
Once the grace period ends, we permanently delete:
- account data: email address, password (stored as a hash), Google/Facebook/Apple sign-in links,
- profile: username, profile photo, bio, visibility settings,
- sessions and laps: GPS traces, lap times, telemetry, data received from timing devices (e.g. RaceBox),
- garage: vehicles and their setups,
- community content: posts, photos, comments, likes,
- direct and group messages, friends list, invitations,
- push notification tokens and device identifiers.
5. What we keep and why
- Billing records (invoices, subscription payment confirmations) — for the period required by tax and accounting law. They contain no data about your rides.
- Records needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims and to prevent abuse (e.g. the fact that an account was banned for violating the Terms) — for the applicable limitation period.
- Anonymised data that can no longer be linked to you (e.g. aggregate track statistics) — indefinitely.
- Backups — deleted data may remain in backups until they are overwritten in the regular cycle; backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.
6. Deleting only some of your data
You do not need to delete your whole account to remove selected data. In the app you can delete individual sessions, photos, posts, comments and vehicles yourself. You can also request deletion of selected data by email (section 2).
